The largemouth bass is one the most popular freshwater gamefish in North America. It can grow to be over 20lbs and almost 30 inches in length. When a largemouth bass becomes an adult it will also become a top predator. Largemouth bass are aggressive feeders and are really enjoyable to catch. When a largemouth bass is caught most anglers use the catch and release method because they are not a preferred fish to eat. When caught, if they are handled properly a largemouth bass can continue their on average 16 year lifespan. Largemouth Bass are native to the mid-eastern most part of the United States and Canada and in a small north-western area that includes Montana, Washington, British-Columbia and Alberta. Today, they are caught all around the United States.
